ExRobotics appoint new Commercial Director Joeri Poelmann for international growth

ExRobotics, the global leader in rugged, reliable Ex-certified autonomous inspection robots for hazardous industrial environments in the energy sector, has appointed Joeri Poelmann as Commercial Director.

It strengthens its leadership team as the company accelerates international growth after a significant investment round.

Joeri joins ExRobotics from offshore technology and services company Ampelmann Operations, where he spent 11 years in senior commercial leadership roles, most recently as Global Director for Business Development and a member of the company’s Management Team.

Joeri led the commercial teams in Africa, Europe and Asia-Pacific, before assuming global responsibility for commercial and marketing strategy worldwide, including the Middle East and the Americas.

ExRobotics’ EXR-2 robots are already deployed across refineries, chemical plants and offshore platforms across the world with major energy companies including Shell, Repsol and Pluspetrol, with many more oil and gas operators in the commercial pipeline.

Joeri will lead ExRobotics’ global commercial strategy, overseeing sales, partnerships and market expansion as the company scales deployment of its Ex-certified robotic platforms worldwide.

His appointment follows ExRobotics’ recent closing of the first tranche of up to €7 million in growth capital, led by FORWARD.one with participation from Rotterdam Port Fund. The investment is being used to accelerate global deployment of ExRobotics’ Robot-as-a-Service fleets, expand software capabilities and scale manufacturing.
