VIDEO: DEMONSTRATION OF AUTONOMOUS ROBOT

ExRobotics has successfully demonstrated an autonomous version of its ExR-1 robot operator at Shell’s Pernis refinery. This line-following robot is an alternative to the remotely operated version. It avoids the need for a human driver thus saving costs and increasing predictability. For the moment it can create video and sound recordings that can be reviewed at a convenient time. We expect to add gas detectors/alarms in the very near future followed by machine vision that can examine recordings and highlight potential issues.
